Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra
The award-winning Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra begins the 2018-19 season
under the helm of a new maestro, St. Petersburg's Daniel Raiskin, whose
worldly experience includes orchestras in Mexico City, Athens, Osaka, Hong
Kong, Düsseldorf, KwaZulu-Natal, and Malmö (to name but a few).
Highlights from the 2018-19 season, which promises an embarrassment
of riches, include Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero performing
Tchaikovsky's first
Piano Concerto (Russian Masters, April 26-27, 2019);
Mathew Morrison Sings Glee & Broadway (May 10-11); along with the
WSO's renowned New Music Festival (late January-early February) which
recently hosted Philip Glass and will this year feature Pulitzer Prize-winner
Caroline Shaw. Group pricing available.
