Welcome to Winnipeg
Have you brought
groups to Winnipeg,
Manitoba? If not then
2019 is the year to
do so.
Lonely Planet has
named Manitoba
as one of its top ten
regions to visit this
year, with a special
emphasis on Churchill's
polar bears and Winnipeg's "cosmopolitan feel."
According to the reputable Australian publisher,
Winnipeg's "big-city sophistication" and
"multicultural flavour" are some of the reasons
why Manitoba made the cut, and I could not
agree more.
This year Folklorama, the world's largest and
longest running multicultural festival (also
a favorite amongst motor coach groups) is
celebrating 50 years with even more worldly
entertainment and cuisine, while Winnipeg is
continually raising the bar with new culinary
tours, Canadian Signature Experiences, and
multimillion-dollar attractions opening
on the horizon.
This planner is brimming with itinerary ideas,
group activities, performance venues (for
performance groups), supplier profiles and maps.
It's a collaborative effort on the part of hoteliers,
attractions, restaurants, transportation, events
and receptive operators — all of whom will work
with you to create an exceptional and customized
experience in our city.
On behalf of Tourism Winnipeg, the city's official
destination marketing and tourism organization
let me be your guide and help plan your next
tour to Winnipeg.
Warmest regards,
