www.wcc.mb.ca @RBCConvCtreWpg Beautiful sunshine, bright blue skies and dazzling prairie sunsets stream through the windows of the RBC Convention Centre, creating a warm and inviting environment for convention delegates and event attendees. Hosting more than just conventions and tradeshows, it's home to diverse events like dance competitions, sporting events, multicultural celebrations, home and garden shows, fishing and boat shows, wellness expos and so much more. "Our multi-purpose space allows us to host significant national and international conventions while simultaneously accommodating a multitude of other events without interruption," said Drew Fisher, President & CEO. "Since our expansion, we are now able to transform our third floor into 11 volleyball courts with spectator seating one day; an international pow wow the next; a gala dinner for 2,300 one night followed by a tradeshow with 600 booths the next day. All this third floor activity can be accommodated while hosting conventions on the other two floors." Located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, this premier multi-purpose facility is Canada's fourth largest publicly owned convention centre. If you've visited the RBC Convention Centre recently, you'll notice some of these beautiful changes and additions. The new south building features lobby and registration space along Carlton Street with floor-to-ceiling windows that lets in that natural light that we enjoy as one of Canada's sunniest cities. The main floor York Ballroom is premium space that can host large galas or be divided into four meeting or conference rooms. With its high ceilings and a beautiful LED lighting system that extends outside to the street level plaza on York Avenue, this ballroom is a highlight of the south building. The north building is home to a multitude of flexible meeting space plus a number of specialty rooms. Did you know the second floor actually has a 300 seat presentation theatre with movie theatre screen and comfy seating? The most visited space in both buildings is the expansive third floor exhibition hall with its unique windows that span across York Avenue and hosts a myriad of events. In the centre of the third floor is the incredible City View Room that stitches the north and south buildings together. With its Where Ideas Are Shared Where Events Come to Life The RBC Convention Centre looks forward to welcoming the following 2019 national and international upcoming events: Interesting Facts A gift of over unique architectural ceiling, dramatic lighting and floor-to-ceiling windows, this area can easily show off Winnipeg's beautiful sunsets. "Our guests enjoy the luxury of fast and free Telus WI-FI throughout our entire building as well as the convenience of being located within walking distance to more than 2,300 hotel rooms and some of the city's best restaurants and attractions in downtown Winnipeg," adds Fisher. "Whether it's a meeting, convention reception or a sit-down dinner, our Executive Chef and his award-winning culinary team work with our creative, experienced and professional staff to make any size event a memorable one. With our dedication to guest service, we know the importance of making emotional connections with our guests and are committed to creating outstanding experiences – every event, every guest, every day."
