EDW manages the SETF in partnership with the City of Winnipeg to attract events that generate significant economic impact, increase overnight visitation and bolster Winnipeg's reputation on a national or international stage. As of Dec. 31, 2018, SETF has committed $10.8 million for 204 meetings, conventions and events that span from 2009 to 2023, which represent more than $199 million in cumulative direct expenditures for Winnipeg. High-profile events that have benefitted from this financial incentive include the FIFA Women's World Cup, NHL Heritage Classic and the Winnipeg Whiteout Street Parties. Kristen McPherson
