Dear stakeholders Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. (EDW) is pleased to share our latest destination marketing plan and partnership opportunities. This document is designed to help you connect with potential customers, with fresh insights, inventive ideas and innovative ways to showcase your business or event. Winnipeg continues to grow its presence on the world stage and boost its reputation. Lonely Planet, one of the world's leading travel authorities, ranked Manitoba as the world's 8 th best region to visit in the 2019 Best in Travel list. It cites factors like Winnipeg's geographic location "at the centre of everything," the capital city's multicultural flavour and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Such positive coverage has sparked unprecedented interest in our city as a destination to live, work and play. At EDW, we strive daily to share the Winnipeg story and show others all the good things our city offers, in a way that resonates with our diverse audience. We work to attract a wide variety of new and returning audiences, from tourists to business to conventions. The three main entities that make up our organization – EDW, Tourism Winnipeg and YES! Winnipeg – work together to spread one message: come experience Winnipeg – we have a lot to offer. Collaboration is a key driver for our organization. Our unified approach with all our partners enables us to streamline efforts to further our message and its impact. The 'Team Manitoba' approach allows us to combine resources with a single focus towards business attraction and retention, while our 'Team Winnipeg' partnership provides a single identity to help attract meetings and conventions. These collaborations allow us to share the right message, through the right channels, at the right time – to maximize our impact and our city's profile. Your organization can be part of that collaboration and can benefit from that positive impact. EDW wants to work with you to elevate your organization's profile through a variety of partnership opportunities that can help showcase what you do best. On the ensuing pages, you'll find detailed information about our priority markets, as well as returning and new partnership opportunities. We encourage you to take a look through the available opportunities to find how we can best help grow your business and client base. Let's keep growing our city's positive reputation and showcasing the experiences you can have in Winnipeg. We look forward to working with you through these partnership opportunities to help attract new tourists, businesses and conventions to Winnipeg. Warm regards, Karen Goossen Vice President of Tourism & Marketing Tourism Winnipeg Dayna Spiring President and CEO Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. Front cover and current page: Mike Peters
