Leisure advertising campaigns
Tourism Winnipeg will build seasonal advertising campaigns that feature
Winnipeg as an ideal vacation destination within an 800-kilometre (500-
mile) radius of the city to attract overnight visitations and increase the
tourism economy. This includes rural Manitoba, northwestern Ontario,
Saskatchewan, Grand Forks and Fargo.
Winter advertising campaign
From January to March the winter leisure campaign will be a combination
of digital and social media channels, as well as a direct mail piece
distributed to homes in Grand Forks and Fargo that features customized
messaging to highlight the U.S. exchange rate and proximity.
Partners will receive:
› An editorial mention in the direct mail U.S. market piece
› A partner spotlight and editorial feature on Tourism Winnipeg's winter
microsite
› A partner spotlight in the winter e-blast sent to more than 20,000
recipients
› A featured spot in a Facebook carousel ad
› A Facebook boosted post during the winter campaign

The spring break and summer campaigns will promote exclusive packages
and deals
through an enhanced digital marketing strategy that will include an
Expedia campaign, social media advertising, hyper-targeted ads, video
and content marketing and dedicated microsites.

› Social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
› Tourism Winnipeg's leisure e-newsletter
