Alberto Velasco-Acosta takes on a new role as Director of Foreign Direct Investment, and we are pleased to welcome Yvonne Kinley to the YES! Winnipeg team as Director of Talent and Workforce Development. YES! Winnipeg is made stronger and more effective through our opportunity to leverage Economic Development Winnipeg's in-house Marketing and Branding and Market Intelligence teams, who also bolster Tourism Winnipeg's efforts to attract visitors, conventions and special events to the city. Market intelligence The source of truth, ensuring the data, intelligence and research used by the YES! Winnipeg team is accurate and consistent across our platforms. Foreign direct investment The international lead generators, responsible for selling Winnipeg's competitive advantages to the world, generating investment leads for the Business Development team. Talent and workforce development The talent specialists, working closely with local companies and investors to help them compete for top talent at home and abroad. Marketing and branding The storytellers, crafting, styling and targeting Winnipeg's narrative for business and investment with input from the broader team. Investor relations The builders, tasked with stewarding, managing and growing private/public investment in YES! Winnipeg while ensuring our alignment with the needs of business.
