Orchestra (WSO). The WSO performs a variety
of concerts featuring outstanding guest artists
at the Centennial Concert Hall in the historical
Exchange District — a historic neighbourhood
filled with trendy restaurants perfect for a
pre-concert group meal or walking tour. Take
advantage of group and student pricing for
concerts ranging from the exhilarating art of
master composers to pop music to newly-
composed repertoire during the renowned
Winnipeg New Music Festival, and other special
concerts. To enhance your orchestra experience,
take your group on a backstage tour, host a
meet-and- greet or pre-concert talk with the
conductor and WSO musicians, or throw a pre- or
post-concert reception.
The WSO also offers educational opportunities
for student performance groups. A series of
Student Matinees or, upon special request, open
dress rehearsals offer a low-cost experience
for students.
