The Victoria Inn Winnipeg prides itself on all three with its desirable airport location, smartly designed meeting space and hotel layout, and excellence in customer service. "Location, location, location—Winnipeg is unique compared to other cities in Canada because our airport is located so close to the downtown, only a 10-minute drive. The convenience and easy access to any part of the city from here is advantageous," says Clint Remarchuk, director of guest room sales. This area of Winnipeg is booming with the new Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport terminal. Here, you'll find a concentration of accommodations, big box stores, Winnipeg's largest shopping mall—Polo Park and IKEA, mixed in with trendy dining. The hotel's meeting space layout is an attractive feature when it comes to planning. As the area's largest convention hotel with the most meeting space and guest rooms in one location, the Victoria Inn boasts 33,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, which can be divided to create 17 individual rooms. The Centennial Ballroom is 13,750 sq. ft. which can be combined with an adjacent ballroom making 19,000 sq. ft. of pillarless space with built-in audio visual. That's not all—there's a third ballroom with 7,500 sq. ft. and two possible divisions. All meeting spaces are located on the main floor for easy transfer from sessions to plenary. Parking is solved with more than 1,000 complimentary stalls on site and room for motor coaches to load right at the lobby entrance. Recognizing the needs of guests on business, the Victoria Inn Winnipeg implemented a new secure card access-only corporate floor that is kids-free and has recently renovated rooms. Complimentary services such as WIFI throughout the hotel, 24 hour airport shuttle and local phone calls all contribute to the welcoming experience this hotel is renowned for delivering. "We want to create a mid to upscale hotel atmosphere with our services, and our ongoing customer service training with staff is exceptional. We want to make sure guests receive a superior experience from check in to check out and every step in between," says Remarchuk. "We are proud to be a familyand Manitoba-owned business and we are one of Winnipeg's premier properties." TOURISM WINNIPEG | www.tourismwinnipeg.com/meetings 39
