The 17th annual Freeze Frame International Film
Festival for Kids of All Ages takes place at the
Centre culturel franco-manitobain. This unique
festival presents films from all over the world,
exciting workshops, and free events for the
whole family. The newest addition is The Freeze
Frame Media Zone, a digital playground of dropin interactive media art activities. Workshops
and some screenings require advance bookings.
Programming is offered in both French and
English.

Pride Winnipeg Festival
Pride Day – Sunday, June 2, 2013
Winnipeg's LGBTTQ* (lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, two-spirit, and queer) communities
and their supporters come together during this 10day festival (May 24 – June 2, 2013) to celebrate
their pride. Activities kick off with a rainbow
flag-raising at City Hall, and include sports
tournaments, community barbecues, dance
parties, shows by queer artists, and so much
more. Pride Day on June 2 includes a rally at the
Manitoba Legislative Building, parade through
downtown, and a festival at The Forks that
are open to everyone and free to attend. Pride
Winnipeg is the "Pride of the Prairies." It is the
largest Pride celebration between Toronto and
Vancouver. Don't miss it!
