The Winnipeg International Writers' Festival
is an annual week-long festival of readings,
panel discussions, school shows, book signings,
and professional development opportunities.
This literary celebration for readers of all ages
features new and established writers, and is
enjoyed by thousands of Manitobans of all
backgrounds in both English and French.
Manitoba's largest drive-through light display lights
up holiday nights for its 13th year. This Manitoba
family tradition presents more than one million
lights in 25 themed areas and displays. Open daily
from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., except Christmas Day, this
seasonal celebration also offers free horse-drawn
sleigh rides every weekend.

Fem Fest 2013: Revelation and Revolution is a
celebration of plays by women for everyone. In
its 11th season, the festival boasts renowned
touring productions from across the country,

talented local female theatre artists.
The Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade combines the
magic, wonder and excitement that heralds in
the holiday season and wraps it up in one big
event. A moving panorama of lights, colour and
music, the parade inspires delight in the eyes of
children and those who are young at heart.
