Virtuosi Concerts w Virtuosi Concerts (VCI) is Winnipeg's International Recital and Chamber Music Concert Series. For more than 20 years, under the artistic direction of Harry Strub, Virtuosi has brought Winnipeg the finest in chamber music. The concert series is well known for providing its audiences with an exceptional concert experience. Virtuosi features artists and ensembles of national and international profile, and the best of Manitoba artists. Join them for more great theatre with the world premiere of Alix Sobler's Rewritten (May 1 – May 12). This compelling re-imagining of Anne Frank's story is a beautiful and haunting testament to the enduring spirit of one of the Holocaust's best known figures. Entering its 65th year for the 2012-2013 season, the WSO performs more than 80 concerts for approximately 100,000 people each year and offers a wide range of musical experiences that belong to four major series, including: Masterworks (classical repertoire), Pops (popular music with orchestral arrangements and guest artists), Concerts for Kids (for ages 12 and under), SoundBytes (which demonstrates just how much classical music is used in popular culture), and a variety of educational and feature performances throughout the season.
