Travel media publicity
We developed an effective marketing public relations
platform to connect with travel media around the world
to build awareness, improve perception and engage
potential visitors through media relations. Touchpoints
included media visits and familiarization tours in
partnership with Travel Manitoba and Destination Canada,
a quarterly e-newsletter, story pitches, assistance with
editorial/image/b-roll requests, media releases and media
marketplaces.
Our travel media program pivoted in the pandemic to
safely host local influencers on staycations as part of our
leisure marketing campaigns. We also partnered with
Travel Manitoba in November and December in a social
media campaign featuring local influencers to promote
local shopping and restaurants.
In 2020, 193 travel media articles were generated with an
earned media value of $7,667,932 million.
