29 Economic Development Winnipeg brand guide Colour and typography Gradients can be used to give a sense of depth to our primary colour palette. They may only be used to add emphasis to a design, not in place of the primary colour in the communication. They may not be used in headlines or call out text. Gradients Colour ratios Using colour to the correct proportions is an important part of our brand. Our primary brand colours must always appear in their respective communications. The secondary colour palette is used to add depth and vibrancy to the marketing collateral. The secondary palette can also be used for headlines and call out text. Across our brand, the use of any colour from the secondary palette should never overwhelm or dominate the use of the primary brand colours. The following colour ratios are a recommendation. Alternate colour ratios are permitted unless they intefere with the primary brand colours.
