former saddlery in the Exchange District that boasts teak
furniture and one of the city's coolest patios. Its signature
1919 Belgian Pale Ale can also be found on taps across
Western Canada.
Low Life Barrel House

Launched in 2020 within Barn Hammer, Low Life is making
oeder-aged bretts (don't worry, we had to Google that
too) and sour craft beers, the majority of which are aged
in wood.

Nonsuch beers just taste expensive and are so apropos
when being savoured in its elegant, gorgeous room by
Fireside Design. The whole package was named one of
the "The ten best new restaurants on the prairies" by

Oxus Brewing Company

Oxus owner/brewer Sean Shoyoqubov moved to Winnipeg
from Tajikistan in 2011, and opened the brewery in 2017.
Over the past four years, its lineup has grown exponentially,
with a number of interesting varieties.
Patent 5 Distillery

A classy joint if there ever was one, Patent 5's room in
the Theatre District features an all-reclaimed circa-1908
wood interior and bar from the St. Regis Hotel. They use
Manitoba wheat and barley to produce both vodka and
vapour-infused gins.

Sookram's hoppy numbers have placed them as a choice
brewery by other local breweries, with beers like the
MacGuffin California Common and Cosmos Dry Hopped
Sour getting rave reviews.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" from this spacious taproom on
south Pembina and is also a short walk from Investors
Group Field. Great ciders too!
Torque Brewing

For the past five years Torque has done it all—from
winning multiple awards, to providing space for numerous
breweries to develop within its huge facility, to even
creating a robot bartender for a day.
Trans Canada Brewing Co.

One of the city's largest breweries, Trans Canada
has been growing strong since 2016, using fun things
like French oak foeders for speciality-aged brews,
while maintaining a strong lineup of core pours and
seasonal numbers.
Vessel Beer

This niche operation within Nonsuch celebrates unique
beers that are paired with the work of local artists. They
also make specialty beers for events and venues like
The Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club's Blue
Note Park.
Winnipeg Brew Werks

Currently brewing within Oxus Brewing Company, owners
Bernhard Wieland, Darren and Zoe Wanless hit the
market on August 1, 2018, with their first beer, the Pils. It
was named to honour "the German Brewing Heritage of
Brewmaster Wieland."
