Salvador Maniquiz Market Intelligence highlights Voice of the Client dashboard In 2021, we launched the voice of the client survey for the Yes! Winnipeg clientele with the help of one of our partners, Probe Research. We deployed the experimental design phase of the dashboard that visualizes our basic metrics at a quarterly view. The voice of the client dashboard is used to analyze client behavior. We hope to solidify the process and use this data as a baseline for results in 2022. Economic insights & 2021 trends We saw an increase in COVID-19 vaccinations as Manitobans aged five or older became eligible and second dose uptake rose to more than 80 per cent. These vaccinations helped reduce risk in economic activities and high-contact industries. Once third doses became available, about 44 per cent of those eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine received one. As we bounced back from 2020, Manitoba's employment level surpassed its pre-pandemic level. There were differences across industries, with high-contact industries lagging, while financial and insurance did particularly well. By December 2021, Winnipeg's passenger counts had recovered to about 50 per cent of December 2019 levels, driven by domestic flights. Manitoba's 2021 GDP is estimated to have bounced back after a sharp decline in 2020. The economic recovery in Canada and Manitoba boosted government revenues and reduced pandemic-driven costs, setting up 2022 to have much narrower budget deficits. Market Intelligence is responsible for accessing, analyzing and applying a robust set of data and content on Winnipeg's economy. We equip teams across the organization with key insights and data to ensure we compete with other jurisdictions, earn new investment, talent, jobs and visitation for Winnipeg. 14 2021 ANNUAL REPORT
