Through a suite of free specialized services and a one-stop shop approach, we ensure that planners, operators, event attendees and visitors experience all the excitement and hospitality that Winnipeg has to offer. Our approach to business development and the delivery of our services is client centered, which builds trust in the host community. Thanks to our partners in 2022, here are just a few of the opportunities secured for Winnipeg: » International Winter Cities Shake-Up Conference 2023 » EF Tours: Human Rights Leadership Program » World Police and Fire Games 2023 » World Youth Archery Championships 2025 » NDP National Conference 2023 In 2022, as of November 1, Tourism Winnipeg has secured events for future years resulting in $80.1 M impact on Winnipeg's economy. 2023 Partnership Opportunities Who we are Sector business events strategy We will leverage our network of national and local business and community leaders to attract new visitors and grow the economy by hosting meetings and conventions that align with Winnipeg's economic sectors. Sustainability and destination resiliency We will work with experts to develop sustainable destination practices and benchmarks to support our clients' goals in sustainability. Bring It Home Program relaunch We will work with local business and academic leaders to influence and secure national and international events and conferences to Winnipeg. Priorities Indigenous tourism growth We will work with our Indigenous tourism community to package and promote unique Indigenous experiences to visitors and meeting/event professionals in the spirit of Truth & Reconciliation. Winter tourism development We will work with our tourism and industry leaders to position Winnipeg as a city that thrives in winter for work, life, play and visitor experiences. Canada's number one student destination We will partner with the education sector to identify and create experiences for student travel that are world class. Supported by the detailed business plans for each market segment, here are high level priorities for 2023.
