Campaigns included: » Our first Foreign Direct Investment digital marketing campaign, targeted to business decision-makers in the U.S., France and U.K. markets and featuring new video assets. » Talent & Workforce Development missions to Hong Kong and France as well as content creation and marketing to support the hiring of Ukrainian nationals in Manitoba. » WPG M&C TV, a creative eight-month marketing campaign to position Winnipeg as a business events destination in key markets like Toronto and Ottawa. Media Relations In 2022, our organization garnered media coverage related to our economic development activities valued at $4.87 million. Focused predominantly on the place brand roll-out, coverage also included traction for our viral Lego video, 'What is economic development?', as well as stories about international talent missions and local businesses. Our travel media team generated massive tourism-driving coverage with an estimated earned media value of $15.1 million. Through a collaborative approach with our partners at Travel Manitoba and Destination Canada, we hosted 73 travel media/content creators in Winnipeg to build awareness of our assets and engage potential visitors. Additional travel media touchpoints included a quarterly e-newsletter with 1,400 subscribers, as well as managing story pitches, editorial requests and media marketplaces.
