On site at The Forks CN Stage and Field The CN Stage and Field area is a major destination for many events throughout the year, including Canada Day and New Year's celebrations, APTN's Indigenous Day Live and many other concerts and festivals. The Forks Market The Forks Market was the first building to open at The Forks in 1989. Today, it is home to a vibrant food hall, lined with local shops featuring a dynamic selection of Manitoba-made products and locally-owned restaurants and culinary options. On the top floor of the market, you can enjoy views of the rivers and the city skyline from the six-storey lookout tower. The Common, located in the centre aisle of the building, is the market's beer and wine bar. Their menu includes 20 rotating taps of local and imported beer and 20 taps of wine and non-alcoholic beverages, curated by top cicerones and wine experts from across the country. The Forks Market Plaza The Forks Market Plaza features a licensed patio with endless views of the river, The Common's outdoor bar in the summer months and a large canopy with shaded seating area to sit and enjoy with friends and visitors. In winter, the plaza is home to a skating rink under the canopy, twinkling lights and special weekend programming offered throughout the season. Johnston Terminal This historic building offers three levels of specialty boutiques, galleries, entertainment spaces and dining experiences. It is also connected to the Travel Manitoba Visitor Information Centre. Niizhoziibean Niizhoziibean, which translates to "two rivers" in Ojibway, honours our city's Indigenous heritage and its prominent place alongside the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
