Trappist Monastery Provincial
Heritage Park
Established in 1892, the monastery moved to a site
near Holland, Manitoba in 1978 to protect the monks'
contemplative life from urban encroachment. In 1983, fire
destroyed part of the original buildings located in what is
now St. Norbert. Today you can walk along the remaining
walls and landscaped paths with interpretive signs. It is also
the site of Shakespeare in the Ruins plays and special events.
