institute of contemporary art. Since 1972, Plug In ICA has
exhibited the best local and international art across all
media including architecture, film, video and new media.
Plug In also has a book shop and provides education
programs and guided tours.

Promenade Taché/
Grey Nuns Walkway

Providing a beautiful view of the Winnipeg skyline and
The Forks, this lamp-lit promenade—with its interpretive
plaques along the walkway—depicts the early
development of Saint-Boniface.

Riel House National Historic Site

Glimpse into the life of Louis Riel, Métis leader and
prominent figure in the founding of Manitoba. This
historic house of the Riel family has been restored to its
1886 appearance, forever capturing Riel's final moments
and a restless period in our province's history.

Ross House Museum

Catch a glimpse into the operation of the first post
office in Western Canada, Métis history and the 1850s
homestead life of the Ross family. The museum is one
of the last remaining examples of Red River frame
architecture in Winnipeg.

Royal Aviation Museum of Western

years of history at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western
Canada. Climb aboard a 1960s-era passenger plane,
learn about the science of flight and explore interactive
exhibits. Discover the stories of Canada's aviation
pioneers, pilots, and innovations as you get up close with
more than 25 aircraft and hands-on exhibits.
There's something for everyone at RAMWC! Kids will love
the space-themed play area, aviation enthusiasts will
love the rare and unique aircraft on display and everyone
will love the observation lounge and boutique gift shop.
