Manitoba Theatre for Young People

MTYP fosters imagination, creativity and self-esteem
through innovative, world-class theatre by presenting
a seven-play season for kids and teens from October to
May. MTYP also has an active theatre school (ages 1–19)
and a drama outreach program.

Nature Playground

Run, jump, climb and play! Explore the sand and water
play area, slithering slide, sky-high crow's nest, basket
swings, willow tree tunnels, net bridges and the Streuber

Tinkertown Family Fun Park

Tinkertown is an outdoor family amusement park with
more than 20 rides and attractions that include a half-
mile train ride, carousel, ferris wheel, bumper cars, tilt-a-
whirl, roller coaster and various kiddie rides. It also has an
18-hole mini-golf course, concession stand and gift shop.

Did you know Winnie the Pooh was
named after Winnipeg? The Winnie
the Pooh statue and plaque, originally
unveiled on August 6, 1992, is located here
commemorating the story of Lt. Colebourn
and Winnie the Bear, the inspiration for the
children's storybook character.
