Climb inside a streetcar, one of the earliest uses of electricity in the province; see a 1940s kitchen; look at a HVDC transmission line up close; discover what year your community got electricity, or push the buttons on a giant talking robot. Interactive exhibits encourage you to consider how much we depend on energy today. From arc lights to motion- detected LED lighting, electricity has certainly evolved. The museum hosts an interpretive exhibit, as well as rooms set to reflect the life of the Ross family when their home served as the post office. Ross House Museum provides a glimpse into the operation of the early postal service in Western Canada, as well as 1850s homestead life, Métis history, and the lives of the Ross family.
