PTE presents five adult plays every season,
specializing in new Canadian works
ranging from hilarious comedies to searing
dramas. In December and early January
there is also a special family holiday show.
The theatre features a unique thrust stage,
with audiences on three sides, resulting in
an intimate and unique experience. PTE
also has a theatre school offering classes
in stage and film acting, musical theatre,
and production for people of all ages.
Season runs from October through April.

Royal MTC is Canada's flagship English-
language regional theatre. In 2010 it was
honoured with a royal designation from
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Each
year the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre
presents six plays at the John Hirsch
Mainstage, four plays at the Tom Hendry
Warehouse, a Master Playwright Festival
and the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival
— North America's second-largest Fringe
Festival.
