WINNIPEG | EVERYTHING YOU WANT Students discover the city with Continental Travel Winnipeg's rich history and vibrant society awaits every young scholar as they look towards their academic future. Experience all the historical intrigue Winnipeg has to offer on the Architecture, Spies and Hidden Codes Tour where over the course of a couple hours you'll learn more than most locals about this fascinating city. You'll see and hear the tales behind the Exchange District's storied facades, learn about Winnipeg's man they called Intrepid who James Bond was based on, and end up at the Manitoba Legislative Building. It is one of North America's foremost neoclassical structures, where the architecture will come to life on a tour seemingly straight out of a Dan Brown novel. That's right! At the Manitoba Legislature you'll embark on the Hermetic Code Tour, a highly-acclaimed, Canadian Signature Experience, where you will uncover the hidden meanings behind the building's sphinxes, hieroglyphics, numerological codes, and Masonic symbols. Once you've experienced this tour you will appreciate architecture in a whole new way. At the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) 11 core galleries cover diverse stories ranging from Indigenous Perspectives, to Breaking the Silence, to Rights Today, all of which span the globe by relating personal stories. The CMHR is an immersive experience utilizing interactive presentations, multimedia technology and world-class designs. School programs are curriculum-based, age-appropriate, inclusive and accessible, while the whole building works as one giant metaphor as visitors work their way up from the cavernous ground floor to the Israel Asper Tower of Hope which provides expansive views of the surrounding prairies. Continue to The Forks National Historic Site – a meeting place and green space in downtown Winnipeg located at the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine rivers. Here, you'll take part in The Great Peg City Seek and Search, a team building challenge focused on communication, problem solving, strategy and creativity. Your stay would not be complete without visiting Saint Boniface, Winnipeg's French Quarter. Enjoy true French Canadian cuisine and try traditional pea soup, hearty bison tourtière with poutine, and a piece of sugar pie – a French Canadian treat. Visit the beautiful Saint-Boniface Cathedral and cemetery where you will find the grave of Louis Riel, the famous Métis leader and founder of Manitoba. You'll learn even more about this rebellious man at your last stop, the Musée de Saint-Boniface Museum, which is the oldest oak log structure in North America and one of Winnipeg's first buildings.
