PRAIRIE DOG CENTRAL RAILWAY W More than just a train ride! The Prairie Dog Central Railway operates a fully restored 1900-era vintage train with five wooden coaches pulled by either an 1882 steam or a 1950s classic GP9 diesel locomotive. Each unique trip incorporates a station stop at Grosse Isle where there are local country vendors with home baking, produce and handicrafts. Our onsite gift store The Freight Shed, offers souvenirs and gifts at Inkster Junction Station prior to and after your trip. The Prairie Dog Central runs most weekends and holiday Mondays from May through September with the Howlin' Halloween Express Trains running in October. NORBERT ARTS CENTRE The St. Norbert Arts Centre is located in the building the Trappist monks built in 1912 and used as a Guest House. Renovated in 1996, the Guest House is home to a thriving community of artists, healers, spiritualists and community activists. The gardens feature an artistic blend of culinary and medicinal plants featured at the on-site restaurant.
