These include painting, sculpture, print-

Winnipeg, the WAG is Canada's oldest
civic gallery and Manitoba's leading
art museum. Discover over 27,000
works spanning centuries and media,
including the largest public collection of
contemporary Inuit art anywhere. Explore
the world-renowned modernist building,
while experiencing local, national, and
international art from the permanent
collection and touring shows, plus an
exciting series of events and programs for
all ages. Have lunch at TABLE Restaurant,
overlooking the WAG's iconic rooftop
sculpture garden, and find something

The WAG is open year round. Hours are
Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to
5 p.m., until 9 p.m. Fridays. Closed
Monday. Open most holidays.

to the history of the Winnipeg Police Force
dating from its beginning in 1874 to the
present. Open Monday to Friday from

Climb the stairs of the historic Via Rail
Station to track 1 and 2, where you will
discover 37,500 square feet of railway
history and artifacts.
See the Countess of Dufferin — the first
steam locomotive on the Prairies. You'll
also see and learn about diesel and electric
locomotives, rolling stock, maintenance
of way equipment, the history of CN, CP,
and City of Winnipeg rail, the construction
of the Hudson Bay Railway, the struggle
of women to enter the railroad industry, a
large HO gauge model layout. Finish with
a visit to the railroad-oriented gift shop.

Gallery represents an engaging selection
