Entering its 68th year for the 2015–2016
season, the WSO performs more than
80 concerts for approximately 100,000
people each year and offers a wide range
of musical experiences that belong to four
major series including: Classics (classical
repertoire), Air Canada Pops (popular
music with orchestral arrangements
and guest artists), Great-West Life
Kids Concerts (for ages 12 and under),
SoundBytes (which demonstrates just how
much classical music is used in popular
culture) and a variety of educational and
feature performances throughout the
season.

WINNIPEG'S CONTEMPORARY
DANCERS (WCD)

Founded in 1964, the company has
fostered the growth of many professional
dance artists, choreographers, and
teachers, and has made a seminal
contribution to the evolution of modern
dance in Canada. Each season WCD
creates and presents new works from
within the company and also introduces
Winnipeg audiences to some of the best
choreography and dance from the rest of
Canada.
