Hotels are also combining a business atmosphere with leisure tourism so families can enjoy a destination, while corporate travellers conduct business. Tourism Winnipeg will conduct sales activities to corporate travel agencies, government and businesses to raise awareness of Winnipeg as a business travel destination. Tourism Winnipeg will also encourage corporate travellers to extend stays and combine a business trip with a family get-away. » Canadian Museum for Human Rights The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is Canada's newest national museum with a mission to enhance the understanding of human rights, to promote respect for others, and to encourage reflection and dialogue worldwide. The museum is a centre for transformation and action. Tourism Winnipeg will collaborate with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and interested stakeholders to position the museum as a significant travel motivator to attract meeting and convention groups in the sectors of architecture, education, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender), faith-based and social issues. » Creating opportunities for the exposure of local business, investment, research and cultural products to a global audience » Advancing international cooperation and understanding by creating forums for high-level exchanges, and helping build relationships through personal contact amongst participants » Business Development Activities Winnipeg's central geographic location, competitive pricing, sound infrastructure and strong relationships with association executives and meeting planners contribute to Winnipeg's success in attracting meetings and conventions.
