20 A Master Tourism Plan for Winnipeg | 2016-2018 COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS Winnipeg's tourism industry is comprised of a wide range of stakeholders who are dedicated to bringing visitors to the city. Tourism Winnipeg will develop a number of platforms to engage stakeholders in open communication, where the sharing of ideas and visions will strengthen relationships. To broaden strategic partnerships, Tourism Winnipeg will strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to improve industry communication and integration. These partnerships will result in a wider distribution of marketing messages, increased sales and enhanced visitor experiences. STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT Tourism Winnipeg will continue to host stakeholder forums to discuss current issues and future trends as they relate to the enhancement and growth of tourism in Winnipeg. Tourism Winnipeg will also distribute an annual Barometer Report featuring tourism economic trends and information on tourism industry development. ยป Industry Roundtable Workshops Tourism Winnipeg will host topical roundtable discussions with private and public sector representatives to gather input that will contribute to future plans regarding the growth of tourism in Winnipeg. Sector representation will include architecture, arts and culture, hotels, indigenous, LGBT, taxicab, winter, universities and colleges.
