Research Resolutions & Consulting Ltd. customizes the survey data to reflect spending and lodging in provinces, cities and other administrative areas. RESEARCH AND DATA MANAGEMENT Tourism research underpins strategic planning and decision making for destination marketing organizations, provides accountability to stakeholders, and responds to the increasingly sophisticated information demands of industry partners. The need for timely, insightful research is increased by growing competition, rapidly evolving consumer attitudes, technological innovation and changing market conditions. Tourism Winnipeg will continue to evolve its research platform to capture and report on tourism economics, delivering relevant information for its own use as well as that of stakeholders and industry partners. Tourism Winnipeg will also create online visitor surveys and share insights on visitor trends and behaviours in the research section of its website, along with a bulletin that communicates the economic benefits of tourism.
