After being the co-chair for the 2015 $6.0 million united Way campaign in Saskatoon, Jonathan is the incoming chair of the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority. Jonathan balances his volunteer community leadership roles with being the Director of Community Investment and Corporate Social Responsibility at Cameco Corporation – an international mining company with corporate headquarters in Saskatoon. morriS SmySnuik Senior Financial advisor Morris Smysnuik is a retired Credit union CEO currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Saskatoon Sports Tourism. Morris has extensive experience and involvement serving on host committees for national and international sporting events. He brings responsible financial and leadership expertise to every event with which he has been associated. Morris also serves on board of directors for a number of other community and sporting organizations in Saskatoon. Scott ForD Senior operations advisor Scott Ford is the Executive Director at SaskTel Centre, one of Canada's busiest arenas and the premiere sports and entertainment venue in Saskatchewan. He has over 25 years of experience in both the sports and entertainment business. Scott is an active board member of Saskatoon Sports Tourism and has held numerous executive roles for major national and international sport and entertainment events hosted in Saskatoon. Many of Saskatoon's and Saskatchewan's largest and most successful events are produced or managed by Scott. He's also actively involved on numerous boards and committees and enjoys Saskatoon's great business climate and rich culture. hugh vaSSoS Senior advisor Hugh vassos represents Saskatoon Sports Tourism on the Saskatoon Bid Committee for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. As president of vMC Sports & Entertainment Corp., Hugh brings vast experience in leading host committees for major sports events in Saskatchewan, including pGA Tour Canada. Hugh served as the vp of Business & Marketing for the highly successful 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship in Saskatchewan. For the 2019 tournament, Hugh will design and provide advisory services for the Saskatoon Host Committee and Executive Team. Steve hogle Senior advisor Steve Hogle is the president and Alternate Governor for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey league. He works with Managing partner Colin priestner elevating the operation of the club, including on-ice performance, fan experiences, corporate partnerships and community activation. prior to moving to Saskatoon, Steve was vice-president, Communications and Broadcast, with the Edmonton Oilers. His portfolio included Oilers television and radio broadcasts, procurement and distribution of hockey content and external and internal corporate communications for projects such as the downtown arena project.
