Dear Members of the IIHF World Junior Championship Selection Committee:
We are thrilled to be able to supply all the necessary components required for an impactful bid
submission for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.
In my previous capacity as Managing Director of the 2014 JUNO Awards, and as President of the 2015

Grey Cup Festival, I am confident our submission to the Province of Manitoba will be accepted and
there will be evidence of the full support of our Provincial Government. It is unfortunate that due to the
timing of the recent election and change in government, this precluded us and our Provincial partners
from being able to meet the deadline of the bid with a firm commitment of our requested grant
amounts. Their attached letter does speak to the enthusiasm this event has received by our new
Provincial Government. We have been assured that upon resuming the fall session in the coming weeks,
this file will receive the highest attention.
I look forward to being able to provide such confirmed responses from our Government within the
coming weeks and at minimum, for the in-person presentation should that opportunity arise.
