Manitobans will show their passion for the game for the IIHF World Junior Championship. They came in 1999 to sell out the Winnipeg Arena, they travelled to Grand Forks in droves for the 2005 event, and hosting again would again prove our ability to support the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. At the MTS Centre, fans will be treated to a venue which opened in 2004 with constant re-investment in the facility. A new HD score clock was installed in 2015 and all new seating has gone in prior to the 2016 season. Future improvements are planned for the coming seasons, all with the patron experience in mind.
