Page 49 It's our Time It's our Time BuSiNESS plaN proFitability Winnipeg Working with Saskatoon, we will leverage the considerable combined business experience of the two hockey markets to target and maximize profitability for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. Winnipeg has an almost insatiable appetite for hockey, supporting two professional hockey teams: Winnipeg Jets (NHl) and Manitoba Moose (AHl). Winnipeg is the envy of many professional hockey markets that greatly appreciate and are now starting emulate our operations employed by proven fiscal managers and strategists. Combined with our history of hosting international hockey events and our professional hockey teams, Winnipeg will tap into that extensive experience to ensure profitability, while enhancing the "must-have event" legacy of the IIHF World Junior Championships. Saskatoon The Winnipeg-Saskatoon business plan is crafted from experience with the objective of maximum profitability. Saskatchewan realized a profit in excess of $15 million in 2010 with a smaller arena in Regina serving as the secondary venue. Together with Winnipeg, with similar seating capacity, we are projecting significant profits. The Saskatoon host committee will benefit from our experiences to generate ticket and special event revenue from fans throughout the entire province. A number of key Host Committee members will have previous experience in staging the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship and together with a new group of community leaders, we will form an all-star Host Team for the 2019 tournament. We will also draw from the past to provide important advisors to provide strategic direction on all business operations related to making the tournament a financial success. viSitor eXperience Winnipeg During free time outside of the hockey games, Winnipeg offers an exciting array of attractions in winter that will entertain and delight fans throughout the championship. visitors can go on a moving personal journey of human rights at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, see polar bears swim overhead in an acrylic tunnel in Journey to Churchill at Assiniboine park Zoo, or relax tired muscles in the Scandinavian-inspired spa, Thermëa by Nordik Spa-Nature, among others.
