to table. The University of Manitoba's
Glenlea Research Station offers interactive
exhibits, windows into a pig barn, birthing
of piglets, baking and ice cream-making
workshops, geo-caching, guided tours by
appointment, a multipurpose room for
family fun day activities, and a picnic area.
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4
p.m.

This nine-acre (3.6 hectare) park,
operated by Parks Canada, is comprised of
interpretive exhibits, inspiring sculptures,
entertaining guided walking tours in
summer, stone pictographs, walking
trails, a dock, native prairie garden,
amphitheatre, and the Variety Heritage
Adventure Park playground and splash
pads (for children 2 to 12 years), which
brings more than 6,000 years of history to
