The Prairie Dog Central Railway operates a
fully restored 1900-era vintage train pulled
by an 1882 steam engine or a 1950s
classic GP9 diesel locomotive. Each trip
incorporates a station stop at Grosse Isle
where local vendors offer home baking,
produce, and handicrafts. See website for a
list of special events such as Canada Day,
Railway Day, Great Train Robbery, Howlin'
Hallowe'en Express Train and much more.
Open May to September weekends and
holidays, and last two weekends in October
