With the expansion of the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg, Winnipeg hosted three back-to-back conferences in late May-early June 2016: Centrallia 2016, the Liberal Party of Canada 2016 Biennial Convention and the 2016 Federation of Canadian Municipalities for a total of more than 5,000 delegates. Looking forward to 2017, Winnipeg will host 12 citywide conventions and is pacing below 2016 in number of delegates (9,400 in 2017 vs. 15,410 in 2016) and total number of room nights (17,900 in 2017 vs. 19,000 in 2016).
