22 2017 TRAVEL TRADE PLANNER WINNIPEG Canadian Museum for Human Rights The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is a must for out-of-towners and locals alike. There is nothing like it. Anywhere. Visitors will experience how powerful personal stories, well-researched content and awesome architecture combine in unexpected ways to underscore the importance of rights for all. Visits can be experienced in either of Canada's official languages, with information and services readily available and easily accessible in both French and English. The CMHR has embraced an approach to inclusive design that sets new Canadian and world standards for universal accessibility. Education programs aimed at K to 12 students use a diverse range of activities, events and tools — inside and outside of this national centre for human rights learning. A variety of tours and activities can be arranged. Examples of experiences available and in development: • Museum Highlights tour • Museum Architecture tour • Curriculum-specific content for students of all ages • Indigenous experience Cost for these offerings start at $5 per person, and are in addition to the cost of admission.
