Orchestra (WSO). The WSO performs a variety
of concerts featuring outstanding guest artists
at the Centennial Concert Hall in the historical
Exchange District — a neighbourhood filled with
trendy restaurants perfect for a pre-concert
group meal. Take advantage of reduced pricing
for concerts ranging from the exhilarating art
of master composers to pop music to newly-
composed pieces during the renowned Winnipeg
New Music Festival, and other special concerts.
To enhance your orchestra experience, take
your group on a backstage tour, host a meet-
and- greet or pre-concert talk with the conductor
and WSO musicians, or throw a pre- or post-
concert reception.
The WSO also offers educational opportunities
for student performance groups. Special open
dress rehearsals offer a low-cost performance
option for students. The Destination WSO program
offers your performance group the opportunity to
work with WSO musicians, with options such as
an arranged rehearsal, sectional, master class
and even lessons for groups of all sizes in the
concert hall.
