WINNIPEG 2017-2018 | YOUR WINDOW OF OPPORTUNIT Y 9
2016 Biennial Convention (May 26-28),
and the Federation of Municipalities An-
nual Conference and Trade Show (June
2-5), which saw 5,000 delegates descend
upon the city.
During this time Downtown Winnipeg
BIZ and Tourism Winnipeg collaborated to
create a top-notch experience, including
a VIP welcome experience at the airport,
while pageantry and banners were found
throughout the city to ensure visitors re-
ceived a warm Winnipeg welcome. A
'Best of Fest Downtown,' was also put on
for delegates so they could get a taste of
what Winnipeg locals love most at a pop-
up party outside the convention centre
that included 10 food trucks, three bands,
15 farmers' market vendors, buskers and
visual art projected on giant screens.
That's just one example of the kind of
service you will receive in our tight-knit
city of 800,000 who are ready to provide
the platform for your next meeting or con-
ference to take centre stage.
So what are you waiting for?
Plan your next meeting or
convention for Winnipeg and
you'll quickly see how we've
gone from the centre of the
continent to the centre of
everyone's attention.
