It is located on the campus of the University of Manitoba with nearly 33,500 permanent seats and can be expanded to accommodate more than 40,000 seats for major events. It has one of the largest canopies in Canada that stands more than 200 feet in the air and covers 80% of the seats. JOHN BLUMBERG SOFTBALL COMPLEX Located on the west side of the city just 25 minutes from the city centre. There are seven baseball diamonds with rapid subsurface drainage that provides superior all-weather playing conditions. Natural turf fields are equipped with outfield fences, regulation-size backstops and team dugouts. MTS CENTRE Conveniently located in the heart of downtown it is a three- concourse facility providing flexible configurations for large scale sports and entertainment events. There are 17,000 seats for centre stage events, 50 luxury suites on a private concourse, an entertainment centre for a VIP lounge and media centre, as well as state-of-the-art amenities for sound and lighting, a unique long- service ramp and back-of-house technical storage and loading functions, and a box office. Top Sports Facilities MTS ICEPLEX Located just off the Perimeter Highway West, it is a 177,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility and recognized as one of the Hockey Canada Centres of Excellence boasting four NHL-size sheets of ice, an off-ice high performance training centre, restaurant services, conference rooms, a pro shop and much more. It is open year-round with 1,350 seats for spectators in its largest arena. PAN-AM POOL Is the city of Winnipeg's premier aquatic facility and meets international standards to host world-class aquatic events. It has two 50 metre pools, a full diving area, weight rooms, aerobic studio and a walk/jog area. The Pan Am Pool regularly hosts diving, swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo events of a local, provincial, national and international nature. RBC CONVENTION CENTRE WINNIPEG Is the city's premiere event facility and one of Western Canada's top competition venues for multiple sports situated downtown and within easy walking distance of more than 2,600 hotel rooms. The centre offers 260,000 square feet of flexible event space over three floors, including 131,000 square feet of pillar-less function space.
