Prospecting, servicing, presentations, networking events, chamber of commerce sponsorships, promotional brochures and advertising supports this initiative in order to increase the number of conventions held in Winnipeg. Since 2012, the Bring It Home program has yielded 109 conventions representing 42,000 delegates for an estimated direct spend of $44 million. Tourism Winnipeg is currently in discussions with more than 50 Winnipeg leaders for future meetings and conventions taking place from 2018 to 2023. RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg Tourism Winnipeg and the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg have aligned their sales activities to capitalize on the convention centre's expansion and to increase effectiveness in attracting citywide conferences. Tourism Winnipeg and the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg will continue to meet regularly to formulate sales strategies, cross-reference leads, enhance requests for proposals (RFPs) and support a lead generator for the Bring It Home program. Canadian Museum for Human Rights Tourism Winnipeg collaborates with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights to increase meetings and conventions to Winnipeg. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is a catalyst in attracting new markets and opportunities, such as meeting and convention groups in the industries of architecture, education, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender), human rights, faith-based, social issues, etc., on a worldwide basis. Familiarization Tours and Site Inspections Tourism Winnipeg will collaborate with industry to co-host meeting and convention clients on familiarization tours of Winnipeg. Tourism Winnipeg will also increase its investment in hosting qualified clients on individual site inspections to confirm Winnipeg as a meeting and convention destination of choice. Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Bids Tourism Winnipeg's customer relations management system, Simpleview, provides an efficient means of submitting RFPs and bids through an extranet site. This system has improved the process and increased effectiveness. RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg: William Au
