In 1983, fire destroyed part of the original buildings and today you can walk along the remaining walls and landscaped paths with interpretive signs. It is also the site of Shakespeare in the Ruins plays and special events. 100 rue des ruines du Monastère – St. Norbert UKRAINIAN MUSEUM OF CANADA W The museum is located in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, a Winnipeg landmark featuring a Ukrainian Baroque architectural style with an exterior mosaic by Leo Mol, a carved icon screenwall and stained glass windows. The museum houses a collection of Ukrainian folk arts and crafts, a library and gift shop. Newly reclaimed, Upper Fort Garry is now an interpretive park with a 440 foot artistic steel wall that tells its story through art, interpretation and technology. Don't miss the sound and light show.
