26 2017 Annual Report 20 Bring It Home conventions EDW's Bring It Home program encourages local businesses and community leaders to advocate Winnipeg as the city of choice for national and international meetings and conventions. From its inception in 2012 to 2017, Bring It Home helped facilitate 128 meetings, bringing more than approximately 10,500 delegates to Winnipeg for 77,000 room nights and generating an estimated direct spend of more than $81.5 million. In 2017 alone, 25 future meetings were confirmed for Winnipeg. These represent approximately 9,500 delegates, 16,000 room nights and an approximate direct spend of $10.5 million. BRING IT HOME SUCCESSES Event Spotlight 2019 Canadian Bar Association Immigration Law Conference Tourism Winnipeg partnered with Sofia Mirza, a lawyer and Winnipeg immigration law expert, to bring the 2019 CBA Immigration Law Conference to Winnipeg in June 2019. The conference will attract approximately 600 delegates and generate an estimated $660,000 of direct spending.
