17 2017 Annual Report Ambassador Toolkit Additional influencer collateral was added to EDW's ambassador toolkit on MyWinnipeg.ca. Significant additions to the website in 2017 include a new video hosted by Ace Burpee, a two-page cheat sheet featuring a snapshot of local tourism tidbits and a summary of the best of Winnipeg's 2017 culinary scene. Canada Summer Games With an estimated $100 million economic impact on Winnipeg, the Canada Summer Games were a marquee event in 2017. The national focus on Winnipeg allowed EDW to showcase the city across the country by producing two 30-second spots in partnership with the City of Winnipeg for inclusion on TSN and RDS. Tourism Winnipeg also created and launched a new section on its website as part of its effort to promote the Games, and had a tourism information booth at the main festival site. 2017 Budget Breakfast In March, EDW and YES! Winnipeg welcomed Employment, Workforce Development and Labour Minister Patty Hajdu to Winnipeg, who presented additional details from the federal government's 2017 budget at a special breakfast event hosted at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg. IDK Interactive Partnership Tourism Winnipeg has partnered with IDK Interactive to provide digital touchscreen kiosks at hotels and attractions that feature Tourism Winnipeg's website. This is a new partnership that furthers EDW's reach and offers virtual concierge services to visitors and locals throughout the city. Community Engagement Courtesy Bold Commerce
