YES! WINNIPEG 11 Centre, LITE-Local Investment Toward Employment, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, Habitat for Humanity, and KidSport Manitoba to name just a few. In 2016, the organization contributed over $1 million to the United Way of Winnipeg through its employee campaign and corporate contribution, and announced a new major commitment to support leadership training at the University of Manitoba. An integral part of the organization's community support is to encourage employees to volunteer for causes they support. They give their time, money and expertise helping people and organizations they believe will make the world around them a better place. Great- West Life proudly supports these grassroots efforts and continually seeks to amplify the positive impact they are making. Supporting employees' activities in their communities is just one way to help make their organization a more engaging place to work for. For several years in a row, Great-West Life has been recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers and as a Top Employer for Young People. It's also a Top Employer for Older Workers, reflected in the significant number of employees who have chosen to build their careers with the organization – and who have celebrated their 20 th , 30 th and even 40 th anniversaries there. In Winnipeg and elsewhere across Canada, Great-West Life constantly reviews its operations to find efficiencies and "greener" options to limit its impact on the environment. The organization was recently named to CDP's "A" List, ranking it in the top 10 per cent of thousands of companies from around the world in emissions reductions. The Winnipeg head office won the BOMA Manitoba Earth Award for exceptional environmental management practices, among 22 awards shared by its facilities across the country. These are just a few of the ways Great-West Life is an employer of choice, a business leader and a champion of this community and across the country. Building on a rich history and record of financial success and customer service, it looks forward to an exciting, fulfilling and successful future here in Winnipeg.
