www.wcc.mb.ca @RBCConvCtreWpg Beautiful sunshine, bright blue skies and dazzling prairie sunsets stream through the windows of the RBC Convention Centre, creating a warm and inviting environment for convention delegates and event attendees. Known as Manitoba's premier convention venue, the three level 264,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility is more than just conferences and tradeshows. It's home to diverse events like dance competitions, sporting events, multicultural celebrations, home and garden shows, fishing and boat shows, wellness expos and so much more. "We are the fourth largest publicly owned convention centre in Canada and are attracting larger conventions, trade shows and other events that may not have considered Winnipeg as an option before," said David Chizda, director of sales and business development . "Our flexibility allows us to transform our space into a football field with spectator seating one week; an international pow wow the next; a gala dinner for 2,300 one night followed by a car show or tradeshow. Our unique and distinct meeting spaces can accommodate a variety of events from international, national and regional events and conventions with 9 to 9,000 participants." "Whether it's an intimate meeting or a sit-down dinner, our Executive Chef and his award-winning culinary team works with our creative, experienced and professional staff to make any size event a memorable one", adds Chizda. "Our guests enjoy the luxury of fast and free WI-FI throughout our entire building as well as the convenience of being located within walking distance to more than 2,600 hotel rooms and some of the city's best restaurants and attractions in downtown Winnipeg," If you've visited the RBC Convention Centre recently you'll notice some beautiful changes and additions. The new south building features lobby and registration space along Carlton Street with floor-to-ceiling windows that lets in that natural light that we enjoy as one of Canada's sunniest cities. The main floor York Ballroom is premium space that can host large galas or be divided into four meeting or conference rooms. With its high ceilings and a beautiful LED lighting system that extends outside to the street level plaza on York Avenue, this ballroom is a highlight of the south building. The north building is home to a multitude of flexible meeting space plus a number of specialty rooms. Did you know the second floor actually has a 300 seat presentation theatre with movie theatre screen and comfy seating? The most visited space in both buildings is the expansive third floor exhibition hall with its unique windows that span across York Avenue. Almost two city blocks, this space hosts a myriad of events including consumer shows, trade shows and large conventions. In the centre of the third floor is the incredible City View Room that stitches the north and south buildings together. With its unique architectural ceiling, dramatic lighting and floor-to-ceiling windows, this beautiful area can easily accommodate over 3000 people for a sit-down dinner while they enjoy a Winnipeg sunset. The skyline of downtown is changing and the RBC Convention Centre is in the middle of it all – reinforcing Winnipeg's reputation as being a world-class site capable of hosting world-class events.
