Manitoba Marathon
Manitoba Marathon is the province's largest marathon.
The course has been the site of past Canadian Marathon
and Masters Championships as well as the site of the 1999
Pan American Games Marathons. Thanks to its partnership
with the Canadian Football League's Winnipeg Blue
Bombers, it is the only Canadian Marathon to finish
on a CFL field.
Manitoba Marathon is marketed as a delightful
"runner-approved" beautiful, flat, fast and shaded
course through many of Winnipeg's prettiest residential
neighbourhoods. It is also an official Boston Marathon
qualifier and was instrumental in bringing the Canadian Half
Marathon Championships to Winnipeg in 2019-2022. On top
of a full- and half-marathon, running events (both competitive
and non-competitive) held include a relay, 10K, Super Run
and Mini Mites. The Marathon welcomes all wheelchair
athletes, who are given a slightly earlier start time along with
appropriate logistical and course arrangements.
