YES! WINNIPEG 21 Number of locations nationwide Community contributions (2018) over Winnipeg employment Transportation has always been a key sector in Winnipeg's economy, and Maxim Truck & Trailer is one company helping those in the sector remain industry pioneers. Founded in 1981, Maxim has kept its head office in Winnipeg since day one – while expanding to 17 locations nationwide. Currently, the company employs over 600 people, as well as a majority ownership of several affiliate companies to expand their service offering. The company's mission is to help transportation and distribution companies streamline their business, and offers a full suite of vehicle sales, servicing, repair, and financing to help businesses from across the country with their transportation needs. From Vancouver to Montréal, Maxim's operations have kept them at the forefront of Canada's transportation equipment network. The company is always looking to adapt its operations to meet new business opportunities. Recently, Maxim introduced a series of new truck models (including the International LT, HX, and MV models), and took on a new live floor trailer line manufactured in Prince Edward Island and now in Winnipeg as well. In addition to being the site of its corporate headquarters, Maxim gives back to Winnipeg. Every year, a portion of their annual profits are donated to charitable organizations, both in the city and across the country. In 2018, Maxim stepped up in a big way for Winnipeg's annual Walk for Life challenge, raising over $263,000 in donations for CancerCare Manitoba. In addition to supporting health organizations, Maxim also supports community groups, the arts, education and minor sports. Winnipeg is home to over 300 Maxim employees, and is proud of its local roots. As the company continues to expand its network across Canada and into new operations, it knows that its home base has been a part of its success story for decades. Maxim Truck & Trailer Driving local achievements in the transportation industry "Giving back is part of our culture at Maxim and has been from the beginning. I'm proud that our staff embraces that culture and I think it's a big reason for our success." Doug Harvey, Chief Executive Officer, DLH Group 17 300 $500,000 courtesy Maxim Truck & Trailer
